About

BASSACO | Mother, Lagune | Creatrix.

A woman walking the path of sacred sound, music, dance, and feminine alchemy.

Her journey here has been far from polished or linear. A winding pathway carved in her flesh, through grief and rebirth, through ancestral whispers, erotic awakenings and many nights of disillusionment, through her body remembering again and again that it is a wounded zone just as much as it is THEE temple.

For eight years, She's dedicated her life to weaving together the threads of live performance, African oral traditions, and women’s spirituality. Each strand taught her something every time - how to face trauma without bypassing, how to let the voice become a "channel" for grief, how to let dance carry rage into ecstasy, how to fuse artistry and ritual until they become indistinguishable.

This path birthed into an offering and a sanctuary bed for the women brave enough to rest + rise in...

She did not come to this point untouched by the world’s shadows. She knows trauma, the silencing. What it's like to feel the undercurrents of shame for singing too loud, being too sensual, or "wild". She knows what it can be like to constantly ache for belonging while also burning with the truth that she could never conform.

She has grieved the girl she once was - free, unbound, experimenting with her voice like an untamed creature. She also found herself grieving the woman she had to become to survive - twisting herself into palatable forms for the music industry, societal norms, family expectations... starving her soul for approval.

And of course, she continued to rise, time after time, as something with a well of deep waters. More sovereign and so much more alive.

She offers a lived remembrance through womb-sourced musicianship/artistry...everything she wanted to see and experience for herself. Now she can safely say that she is blissed out about sharing these wonders with those who are unapologetic about wanting to meet themselves with the same depth + potency.

BASSACO VILLAGE: SACRED MUSIC & ARTS HOUSE

This sanctuary is essentially a Sacred Music & Arts House for women who long to:

  • Feel safe and sovereign in their own bodies

  • Reclaim the beauty of their sensual essence

  • Awaken their sacred erotic power with fierce grace

  • Be seen, felt, and celebrated in their art and expression

Here we offer DJENARA™, a soul-birthing modality that weaves:
- Ancestral frequency
- Voice + Dance alchemy
- Sacred performance

DJENARA™ is prayer, reclamation + soul rebirth.

Envision yourself stepping inside a cavern dripping with gems, where a blue lagoon glows with its own light. The air carries the scent of smoky myrrh and wet, pink+purple hibiscus blossoms. You taste honey, fruit, and fresh sweet waters. The sound of ancient drums and ambient, sultry vocals echoes against the stone walls, fusing with the gentle rush of a stream.

See this as a haven where experimental art becomes ritual and women’s bodies remember their power.

If you are a woman - self-proclaimed musician, artist, dreamer, or simply a soul aching to be fully expressed through musical arts - Bassaco Village is for you.

We are here to birth ourselves over and over again through the music of the womb. I welcome you, Muse-ic-ka.

In unruly devotion,
Bassaco (Mother, Lagune)
